Wednesday afternoons 14:00-17:00 from the 21st of January to 25th of February.
These classes are targeted towards absolute beginners to intermediate pottery levels. The first session will be an introduction to key hand-building techniques and a step by step guided on how to apply them to your first piece. I encourage you to bring ideas of projects you would like to make in the second class since weeks 2-5 you’ll be working on a project of your choosing. I will be there to support and assist you with these projects. In week two you will also be given a demo on the potters wheel and will have the opportunity to have at least two sessions dedicated to working on the wheel if you wish to though the main focus will be hand-building.
Week 6 will be primarily focused on glazing (painting) your pieces. There is a selection of studio glazes to dip your pieces in or a selection of colourful underglazes if you wish to add decorative colour to your work.
See a few examples of what past students have made here!
Please note the potters wheel is taught at a beginner level; if you already have a foundational level of wheel throwing and are looking to advance please email me to discuss further before signing up.
